The Falklands Competition

Running the obstacle course, shooting, archery, emergency first aid, the missile run, and a 7 mile hike with full pack navigation exercise. These were some of the activities that teams from across Essex Wing competed in at the 2011 Falklands Competition.

Two teams from 1483 carried the hopes of the squadron and did us proud by improving on last years result achieving 19th and 22nd respectively. Competing against teams that have been trained throughout the year takes determination and the teams from 1483 gave it in spades. Cdt Yates completed the 7 Mile hike with full pack despite suffering with a painful ankle, she also received an award for saving her victim in the first aid exercise.
